Vegan Shamrock Shake | RECIPE

A non-dairy, natural, much healthier, cruelty-free take on McDonald’s famous St. Patty's Day menu item.

Have some (vegan) ice cream lying around in the freezer? Make you and your roomies at home this fun Vegan Shamrock Shake ☘️ to make them smile. Pick an edible spring flower to top it with to make them smile extra.


Yields 1 serving


  • 2 cups Oatly's plain "Oat" ice cream

  • 1/2 cup plant milk (I used Oatly because it's the creamiest!)

  • 1/8 teaspoon spirulina (or a big pinch)

  • 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract

  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • vegan whipped cream (I used rice milk whip)


Blend all ingredients except the whipped cream. Once smooth, serve in a glass with whipped cream and toppings of your choice!

*Note: The ice cream I'm using is plain oat flavor and not vanilla. So If you're using vanilla ice cream, you can omit the vanilla extract.
